The Bloomsburg High School Marching Band has been invited to represent Pennsylvania at the Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade in Hawaii, commemorating the bravery of World War II heroes. This opportunity allows our students to perform, tour historic sites, and engage in educational activities that deepen their understanding of history and patriotism. On March 20th, our marching band took a few hours out of their evening to express gratitude by writing heartfelt letters to local veterans. Each note is a token of appreciation for their service and sacrifice. We are excited to honor them further during our upcoming trip to Pearl Harbor. Led by Amber Cease, the students will be meeting every 3rd Thursday of the month to honor veterans connected to our community.
If you have a veteran who would appreciate a note from the band, please reach out to us via email (bhspanthersband@gmail.com). As always, thank you for your support!
Thank you to MJ Mahon and Jimmy May for taking the time to meet with us and help spread our story! Read the full article below!
